Services for Joe Kyle “Joey” Williams, 44, of Dixie, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Dixie Cemetery in Stephens County.
Joey was born August 31, 1978, at Ardmore to Frankie Joe Williams and Barbara Ann (Cross) Williams. He departed this life Thursday, March 16, 2023, in Oklahoma City.
Joey was raised at Healdton graduating from Healdton High School in 1996. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing his whole life. He loved to Deer hunt and was always good with guns. Joey married Leah Dawn Mears on October 26, 2001, at Ardmore. They lived primarily at Dixie and he worked in the oilfield, pumping and on Oil Rigs. Leah preceded him in death on December 23, 2008. Joey continued to reside at Dixie with their children. He was always working on boats and pickups. Joey was quite the cowboy and a good roper. He loved his children dearly and enjoyed teaching them all he could.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Barbara Williams on July 12, 2011; his wife, Leah; maternal grandparents, Gene and Ann Cross and his paternal grandparents, Alton and Christeen Williams.
Survivors include his father, Frankie Williams of Healdton; children, Morgan Williams of Healdton, Joe Lee Williams and wife Ariane of Ardmore, and Jonee Williams of Ringling; stepchildren, Cody Gordon of Jimtown, Jennifer Gordon of Cashion, OK, and Kirk Gordon and wife Amber of Broken Arrow; 6 step-grandchildren; brother, Rusty Williams of Healdton; special niece and nephew, Tristen Acosta and Hailey Bethae; numerous other family and friends.
Family visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 – 8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Williams, Kirk Gordon, Morgan Williams, Joe Lee Williams, Tristen Acosta, and Billy Fetgatter.
Honorary bearers are Dakota Pierce, Ron Hawkins, and Mikey Goodson.
