Joe Curtis Chandler

Wilson – Graveside Services for Mr. Joe Curtis Chandler, 60, of Wilson is scheduled for 3:00 PM Tuesday November 22, 2011 at the Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson with Rev. Felix Hernandez officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Joe was born June 10, 1951 at Oswalt to the late Mr. Roy Chandler and Mrs. Marie L. (Jones) Chandler Beck. He departed this life Saturday November 19, 2011 at his home in Wilson.

Joe was a native to the Wilson area being raised here and residing around Wilson most of his years. He was employed mostly as a Heavy Equipment operator and also operated a Tug Boat in the Houston Ship Yards. Joe also lived for a short while at Colorado operating a farm. He always was a farmer and rancher who enjoyed being outdoors driving equipment. Joe was baptized at the Rexroat Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; Brothers, Finas and Jerry; Sisters, Christine, Dortha, Juanita and Janice.

Survivors include Sister, Joyce Dethloff and husband Joe of Wilson; Brothers, James Beck and wife Toni of Pierce City, Missouri and Riley Beck and wife Barbara of Wilson; Daughters, Mindy McDaniel and husband Danny of Lone Grove and Jessie Rae Palmer of Wilson; Son, J.D. Palmer of Wilson; 4 Grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Riley Beck, Sr., Eddie Beck, Josh Beck, Riley Beck, Jr. Conver Nipp, and Ronnie Roberts.

Honorary Bearers are Lynn Davis, Owen Hodges, Ron Abshire, Johnny Abshire, Terry Snell, Freddy Williams and Harold Gray.

Family visitation will be Monday from 6-8pm Monday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
