Joe Barron Reid

Mr. Joe Barron Reid, age 74, of Healdton, departed this life peacefully at his residence on Thursday, January 9, 2020. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton with Rev. Rodney Worsham and Rev. Wayne "Whitey" Reid officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Mr. Reid was born on June 11, 1945 to the late Mr. Jesse Barron Reid and Mrs. Linnie Mildred Reid in Roxboro, NC.

The Reid family soon returned to the Southern Oklahoma area and lived in Loco and North of Ringling most of Joe's childhood. He attended Mountain Home School until it consolidated with Ringling. He graduated from Ringling High School then joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for 3 years 11 months and 4 days. After returning from the Air Force Joe made his home in Ringling and watched his son Joseph grow up there. Joe married Mrs. Sandra (Burkett) Worsham on November 19, 1986 in Ringling and soon after they moved to Healdton where they have lived for the past 30 years. Joe and Sandra enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren. He worked for L.E. Jones Oil Company for over 20 years as a Lease Operator.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Tony Reid; sister, Iva Dale Reid Strauser and a great granddaughter, Raynie Suzanne Paul.

Mr. Reid is survived by his loving wife Sandra Reid of the home; son, Joseph R. Reid and wife Marie of Corinth; Darryl Worsham and wife Rhonda of Austin, Rodney Worsham and wife Kandace of Medicine Lodge, KS; daughter, Tonya Hendershott and Randy of Ardmore; brothers, Bobby Reid and wife Jayne of Ringling, Wayne "Whitey" Reid and wife Dana of Granite City, IL; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
