Jodi Marie Merrick

Healdton - Memorial Services for Mrs. Jodi Marie (Gaither) Merrick ,50 , of Healdton is scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Bro. Doug Hickman officiating. Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.

Jodi was born on Nov. 10, 1970 at Kingsville, TX to the Mr. Doyle Ray Gaither, Sr. and Mrs. Glenda Jane (Blackman) Gaither. She departed from this life on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Healdton.

Jodi was raised primarily at Healdton attending school there. She graduated from Healdton High School in 1989 and soon after became a mother and was blessed with four wonderful children. Jodi remained in this area working at several business, but really prided herself as a devoted mother and homemaker. She recently married the love of her life Mr. William "Willy" Merrick on April 3, 2021. She and Willy had been a couple for the past seven years. Jodi had a great love for any type of animals. She rescued numerous critters and gave them a loving home. Her son, Lance Todd Pemberton, preceded her in death on March 30, 2013, as well her grandparents, Glenn and Mary Jo Blackman and Doyle Cecil and Cecil Marie Gaither; aunt, Carol Fennel and a stepdad, Jimmy Bruce Richardson.

Survivors include her husband, Willy Merrick of the home; daughters, Samantha Haymes and husband John of Wilson, Amber Ficklin of Texas and Molly Merrick of the home; son, Chance Pemberton of the Ardmore; stepchildren, Kevin Merrick and Kelley Merrick; mother, Glenda Richardson and Dennis Kruse of Dekalb, TX; father, Doyle Ray Gaither, Sr. of Enos; brothers , Buzz Gaither of Healdton and Jeffrey Richardson and Jennifer Hughes of Gordonville, TX; grandchildren, Matthew Haymes, Gracin Kruse and Cody Kruse; nephew, Dillon Gaither and wife Jesse; numerous other family and friends.
