Wilson - Memorial services for Mr. Jimmy Lee Parker, 82, formerly of Gene Autry, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Frank Simpson officiating. Cremation services are entrusted to Alexander Gray Crematory.

Jimmy was born on April 26, 1942, to the late Mr. Richard Lee Parker and Florene Melissa (Brower) Parker. He passed away on August 19, 2024, at a nursing home facility in Wilson.

Raised primarily in Beaver County, Oklahoma, Jimmy spent his early years on a ranch and dairy farm. He graduated from Beaver High School and went on to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva before returning to the farm. In 1989, he moved to Ardmore to establish Parker Specialties, a feed mill, and later owned and operated a convenience store in Dickson until its closure due to highway expansion. Jimmy had a passion for sales and an interest in politics, which added to his vibrant personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeff Parker, and his brother Rex Parker.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Pam Edwards and husband Jerry of Beaver; Darrell Parker and wife Tammy of Wilson; and Julie Dennis and husband Scott of Collinsville. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jeremy Parker, Zach Parker, Seth Parker, Brandon Johnson, Kaleb Compton, Kody Compton, Kylie Edwards, Kalea Parker, Cassie Dennis, Kelsie Parker, Carsen Edwards, Cortnie Wilfinger, and Lee Parker; siblings Steve Parker of Beaver; Nancy Barth and husband Jim of Buffalo; and Sue Hergert and husband Blane of Jetmore, KS. He is further survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, along with numerous other family members and friends.
