Jimmy Lee Gray

Wilson – Funeral Services are scheduled for Mr. Jimmy Lee Gray, 70, of Greenville, TX for 10:00 am Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Simon Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Jimmy was born August 2, 1939 at Wilson to the late Mr. Oscar Lee Gray and Mrs. Elizabeth Ann “Lizzie” Jones Gray . He departed this life Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his home in Greenville, TX.

Jimmy was raised in the Wilson area graduating from Lone Grove High School. He and the former Joyce E. Cowger were united in marriage Jan. 19, 1970 at Papillon, NE. They made their home in Greenville, TX in early 80’s where he and brother Richard owned and operated GB&G until 2009. Jimmy always enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors always loving to hunt and fish.

Preceding him in death is his Parents, and a sister Ima Jewell Simons.

Survivors include his wife Joyce (Nickle) Gray of the home, Daughters Janie Lee “Cookie” Snow and husband Hoss of Emory, TX, and Jackie Lynn “Candie” Porterfield of Ardmore. Son, Jimmy Lee Gray, Jr. and wife Becky of Gordonville, TX. Step Children, Terrie Haith, Tracie Rother, and Greg Rother. Sisters, Bonnie Hodges, Jo Ann Kinney and husband Jim, both of Wilson, and Carolyn McKinnon of Gainesville, TX. Brothers, O.L. Gray, Jr. and wife Maxine, Danny Gray and wife Sharon, Richard Gray and wife Julie, and Roger Gray and wife Deloris all of Wilson. Numerous Grandchildren and great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brad McKinnon, Brad Gray, Peyton White, Dave Alford, Ronnie Gray, and Mike Kinney.

Honorary Bearers will be Shane Gray, Brian Bowen, Ronnie Stanton, and Clay Bonneville.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
