Wilson – Funeral Services for Jimmy Keith Kerley, 67, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. Oct. 10, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Don Keizor officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling with military honors provided.
Jimmy was born on March 10, 1951 at Ringling to the late Mr. Raymond Mackey Kerley and Mrs. Wanda Lee (Marshall) Kerley. He departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at The Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was raised mostly at Courtney attending school at Turner where he graduated high school in 1969. He joined the United States Air Force in 1970 and served honorably for 4 years. After his military service he returned home and soon married the former Ms.Pamela Harris on June 20, 1975 at Enville.
They primarily made their home in Ardmore, where Jimmy was employed for Uniroyal/ Michelin for 20 years. He worked in tire building most of his years there, retiring in 1995. He also built houses within the Ardmore area and did home construction. Jimmy loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Every year he looked forward to his family’s annual Kerley Reunion at Lake Murray. He was a hunter and fisherman for many years as well as an avid OU football fan. He also liked visiting the coffee shop with all of his friends to see who could come up with the biggest “lies”.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Charles, Stevie , Billy and Jackie; sisters, Joyce Lee and Patricia Ann Tolley.
Survivors include his loving wife Pam of the home in Ardmore; children, Nikki Hamilton of Ardmore and Jeremy Kerley and wife Melanie also of Ardmore; five grandchildren, Caelyb Kerley, Brayton Hamilton, Emma Kerley, Jance Kerley and Jackson Kerley; sister, Stella Bayless and husband Doyle of Oakrdige, TN; Brothers, Frank Kerley and wife Jan of Wylie, TX, Hollis Kerley and wife Kathy of Ardmore and Ricky Kerley and wife Becky of Centerton, AR; sister in law, Linda Kerley and brother in law, J.W. Lee; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.
Casket Bearers will be Jeremy Kerley, Brayton Hamilton, Jance Kerley, Caelyb Kerley, Walter Kerley, Michael Kerley, Tyler Kerley, Dallas Kerley, Dakota Kerley, Justin Kerley, Paul Kerley and Scott Kerley.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Tuesday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson
