Jimmy "Jim" Edward Rapier

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmy Edward "Jim" Rapier, 70, of Ringling are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Joe Wilkerson officiating and Cari Tucker providing the eulogy. Servies are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.

Jim was born Jan. 1, 1952, at Ringling to the late Mr. W.S. "Junior" Rapier, Jr. and Mrs. Eunice L. (Gardner) Rapier. He departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at his home in Ringling.

Jim was raised initially at Sweetwater, TX moving to Ringling during his second-grade year. Before his family moved here, Jim would spend his summer vacations at Ringling with his Granddaddy and Granny. Jim would graduate from Ringling High School in 1971 and immediately went to work in the oil patch. During his school years, Jim worked extensively as an oilfield hand part time.

Jim met the former Debbie Stewart at one of his oilfield jobs and they soon were united in marriage on May 27, 1977 at Healdton. Thereafter they built their home on Rapier Hill west of Ringling where they raised their two girls. Jim spent many years working for various oilfield companies for as long as his health allowed. He always enjoyed the many years of farming and ranching and loved to be outdoors, especially when he was arrowhead hunting. Most of all Jim was an exceptional Gpa to his three grandchildren and loved every child that crossed his path. Jim was a member of the Ringling Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Junior and Eunice Rapier; brothers, Davey and Danny Rapier; sister in law, Karen Rapier and nephews, Alexander and Michael.

Survivors include his wife Debbie of the home; daughters, Celesta Edwards and husband Kevin and Camillia McDonald and husband Jeremy; his grandchildren, Jagger and Jentri Edwards and Kael Rapier; brother, Steve Rapier; sisters in law, Linda Rapier and Jeannie Rapier; aunt, Melva Gardner; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Casket bearers are Bobby Dickerson, Chad Dickerson, Tracey Rapier, Casey Rapier, Patrick Stewart, Steve Rapier, Greg Hubbard and Randy Stowers.

Honorary bearers are Jagger Edwards, Kael Rapier and Jentri Edwards.
