Jimmy Claude Sullivan

Ratliff City - Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Jimmy Claude Sullivan, 70, of Fox are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church with Rev. Glynn "Cuz" Baker and Rev. Ricky Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Jimmy Claude was born on Aug. 2, 1946 at Duncan to the late Mr. Claude Sylvester Sullivan and Mrs. Bebe Jo (Ferguson) Sullivan. He departed from this life on Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home in Fox.

Jimmy Claude was raised in Fox attending school there, graduating in 1964. He then attended college at OU for 1 year, before moving back home to work in the oilfield. Jimmy Claude drove a Gin Truck all his working years, initially working for his Grandpa Sullivan. He was employed for numerous companies in the Oil Patch, most recently working with his brother Nub Sullivan.

Jimmy Claude was one of the best Gin Truck operators ever seen. He could move most any Oilfield equipment that needed to be relocated and was an excellent dozer operator. He and the former Vanessa Ramsey were united in marriage on March 3, 2014 at Thackerville. Jimmy Claude loved watching women's college softball, riding four wheelers, playing poker and adored his two canine companions, Penny and Barty. He was a frequent member of the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City where he enjoyed all of his church family.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents; Edgar and Nora Sullivan and Jim and Enid Ferguson and his parents, Claude Sylvester and Bebe Jo (Ferguson) Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife Vanesa (Harper) Sullivan of the home; Son, James Bradley "Brad" Sullivan and his wife Becky of Ardmore and Grandsons, Jade Bradley Sullivan and Cash Cole Sullivan; Son, Jimmy Claude "DOS" Sullivan II, and his wife Katie of Ratliff City and grandchildren, Brooklyn Kate Sullivan, Jacob Alex Sullivan and Tori Fore; brother, Nub Sullivan and wife Judy of Ratliff City; stepchildren, Lora Stevens and husband Brandon; Sara Roberts and granddaughter, Peyton Faulkenberry, and Kacie Roberts; numerous other family, church family and friends.

Pallbearers are Chris Sullivan, Chris Tivis, Daniel Burns, Levi Armstrong, Stevie Cogswell and Danny Jackson.

Honorary bearers are David Thompson, Stephen Burns and JD Hodges.

Family visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home in Ratliff City.

The family encourages that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City Box 146; Ratliff City, OK 73481 in memory of Jimmy Claude.
