Jimmie Dale Lester

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmie Dale Lester, 67, of Wilson is scheduled for 3:00 PM Thursday September 1, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Ringling with Pastor David Bishop and Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Jimmie was born December 11, 1943 at Grady, OK to the late Mr. Otis V. Lester and Mrs. Hazel (Miller) Lester. He departed this life Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his home in Wilson.

Jimmie was raised at Grady attending elementary school there and later graduated High School from Ringling in 1961. He married the former Ms. Nancy Groves October 11, 1977 at Wichita Falls, TX. Jimmie worked with heavy equipment and iron most of his working career. He was formerly employed with the Houston Iron Workers, J.D. Lewis, and Harold Lester for many years and lastly was a self employed mechanic for Heavy Equipment. Jimmie loved Ford Motors and vehicles, and also enjoyed to work in his yard. He was an avid fisherman, always cat fishing on Mud Creek. Jimmie was saved and baptized at the age of 9 at the First Baptist Church of Ringling.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; Son Jimmie Brant Lester – 1977; Sister Cloieze Dillard and a special pet named Marty.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home; Children; Seth Lester of Wichita Falls, TX; Rhonda Fain and husband Don of Dean, TX; Robby Lester and wife Jennifer of Perkins, OK; and Tracie Crist and husband Darrick of Lancaster, Ohio. Siblings, Muriel Miller of Wichita Falls, TX; Harold Lester and wife Pat of Courtney Flatts; Betty Smith and husband Bill of Ringling; Donnie Hibbs of Wichita Falls, TX and Clyde Folsom and wife Brenda of Marietta. Four Grandchildren, Keaton , Austin, Jayden, and Greyson. Special Friends; Richard Kidd and Rudy Sitz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Larry Farmer, Tracy Smith, Mike Lester, Joe Ben Lester, Randy Wade and Randy Likins.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday Evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
