Jim Bill Tolbert

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Jim Bill Tolbert, 76 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Assembly of God Church in Wilson with Pastor Jim McGaughy officiating and Rev. Mike Johnston assisting. Services will be Facebook live. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Jim Bill was born May 20, 1945 in Healdton, OK to the late Mr. Leotho "Poss" Tolbert and Mrs. Mary Grace (Raper) Tolbert. He departed from this life on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his home in Wilson.

Jim Bill was raised in Healdton graduating from Healdton High School in 1963. Soon after, he married Betty Thompson and together they were blessed with two children, Jim Bill and Jennifer. Later he married Barbara McDaniel in 1975. Jim Bill worked on the Dillard Ranch in Ringling for a short time after high school and he had also worked for Michelin and in the oilfield. In 1986, he opened Jim Bill's Cafe which later developed into Jim Bill's Catering. Jim Bill's favorite memories was of him playing high school football and bulldogging in the rodeos. He is best known as an entertainer making everyone laugh.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, Winston.

Jim Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Tolbert of the home; son, Jim Bill Tolbert of Ardmore; daughter, Jennifer Ruth and husband Eddy of Ratliff City; grandchildren, Clayton Smith, Cristen Tucker, Ethan, Eli, Evan and Bodey Ruth; 5 great grandchildren; and by a host of other family and friends.

Honorary bearers will be Ethan Ruth, Eli Ruth, Bodey Ruth, Kent Tolbert, David Hull, Daniel Hull, Kent Porterfield, Howard Worley, Mickey Worley, Dale Vernon, Lynn Weitz and Ronnie Webb.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4-6 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
