Jerry Miller

January 9, 1937 — September 28, 2022

Mr. Jerry Miller, of Healdton, departed this life on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in the Wilson Nursing Center in Wilson, OK at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 19 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 3, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Rev. Doug Henson officiating. Interment will follow at the Dixie Cemetery North of Ringling. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.


Jerry was born on January 9, 1937 in Corum, OK to the late Mr. Jospeh Alexander Miller and Mrs. Cammie Christean (Lakin) Miller.


Jerry mostly grew up in the Marlow area after spending some time in Death Valley, CA and the family moved back to Oklahoma in 1942. He started driving trucks in the wheat fields at the age of 9. Jerry attended Marlow schools. He married Kay Justus and from this union his two children Jerry Nick and Jerretta were born and they lived in the Comanche and Healdton areas. He later married Corene Rose on July 3,1972 and from this union he gained five more children. He and Corene first made their home in the Duncan and Velma areas for a year then moved back to Healdton where he would stay. He went to work for L. E. Jones in 1969 and worked there as a truck driver and crane operator 47 years. Jerry was an active member of the Murray County Antique Tractor and Implement Club for many years. He had a passion for antique tractors especially Farmall Tractors. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His children never remember him getting mad or upset with them. He was of the Baptist faith and was a former member of the Wirt Baptist Church. Jerry was a long time member of the Healdton Oddfellows Lodge #491.


He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Corene Miller (August 24, 1986); son, Jerry Nick Miller (1982); sisters, JoEllen Miller and Linda Davidson and her husband Noel "Corky" Davidson; son-in-law, Ernie Miller; granchildren, Lori Kirkpatrick, Paul Rose " P-Dinkle", Ernie Miller,; and a nephew, William Davidson.


He is survived by Nonie Rose of the home; daughter, Jerretta Davidson and her husband Terry of Corum; his other five children, Jolene Lewis and husband Don of Healdton, Rubetta Miller of Healdton, Dink Rose of Healdton, Lee Thompson and husband Duane of Healdton; special nephew, Larry Davidson and his wife Carrie of Marlow; 17 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; special friends, Carolyn Morris of Dickson and David and Anita Lomenick of Healdton; many other relatives and a host of friends.


Serving as Pallbearers will be Cory Davidson, James Thompson, Daniel Thompson, Tommy Lewis, Justin Davidson and Larry Davidson.


Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Davidson, Zach Gastineau, Jacob Rose, Codi Miller, Cooter Pender, and Robert Jenson.


Visitation will be held 4 - 6:00P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
