Jerry Gene Gore

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Jerry Gene Gore, 84 of Granbury, TX, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.C. Risenhoover of the Church on Thistle Ridge and Elder Marvin Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery.

Jerry was born May 8, 1934 in rural Carter County, OK to the late Mr. Thomas Sidney Gore and Mrs. Emma Bernice (Porter) Gore. He departed from this life on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Granbury, TX. Jerry was surrounded by his family as he left this world and made his way to heaven.

Jerry spent most of his younger years in Ringling, graduating from Ringling High School in 1952. He met the love of his life Gayle Tipps at Ringling where they were married on November 24, 1954, cherishing 48 years together. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 1994. He found his greatest enjoyment in his family and loved coaching young kids boxing. Jerry was a member of the Church on Thistle Ridge in Granbury, TX.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Tommy Gore and Bernice Gore Roberts; wife, Gayle Tipps Gore and son in law, Steve Lacefield.

Jerry is survived by his immediate family, son, Jerry L. Gore and daughter, Tanya Gore Lacefield; beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, Sarah Gore, Lindsey Gore, Desiree Lacefield Gordy and her husband Jim, Derek Lacefield and his wife Alyssa, Makiya, Mia, Ty, Makinzi, Perrine and Taylor.

Jerry also leaves behind his siblings; sister, Jane Chuculate, brother, Dale Gore and wife Donna; half siblings, Ann Hamner, Sue Gore, Michael "Mike" Gore, Scott Gore, Dennis Gore and Patrick Gore; and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mark Shores, Waylon Shores, Rhett Harbour, MaCray Lynn, Derek Lacefield and Ty Gordy. Honorary bearers will be Bill Tipps, Bill Austin and Roy Lyles.
