Comanche - Funeral Services for Mr. Jerry Don Sutton, 86 of Loco are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Ray of Hope Church of Comanche with Pastor Mike McCord officiating. Interment will follow to Loco Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
Jerry was born June 14, 1935 in Loco to the late Mr. Raymond E. Sutton and Mrs. Anetta L. (Dillon) Sutton. He departed from this life on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his home in Loco.
Jerry was raised in Loco and graduated high school in 1954 as a class of four. He then attended Okmulgee Tech studying diesel mechanics. Jerry married the former Ms. Mary Ann Edmondson on August 26, 1955 in Loco. Jerry raised cattle and worked in the oil field as a producer all of his working years, always residing at Loco. He enjoyed rodeo's and horse racing and was a member of Ray of Hope Church of Comanche.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Mary A. Sutton on December 2, 2015 and a granddaughter, J'Ann Clower on August 24, 2004.
Jerry is survived by his son, Donny Sutton and wife Marquita of Loco; daughters, Susie McMeans of Ardmore, Retha Clower and husband Johnny of Velma, and Janell Reisch and husband Jim of Choctaw; granddaughters, Amy Johnson of Denton, TX, Dana Lohrer and husband Byron of Duncan, and Melody Ruiz and husband John of Mannsville; 7 great grandchildren, Kiley, Keely, Jaycee, Jackson, Mia, James, and Lola; sisters, Ann Shults and Laveda Alexander both of Duncan; and by a host of other family and friends.
Casket bearers will be James Lohrer, Jim Reisch, John Ruiz, Byron Lohrer, Johnny Clower, Jackson Lohrer, and Donny Sutton.
Honorary bearers will be Jim Patton, Jerry Strickland, Kenneth Eason, Guy Dillon and Garrett Blubaugh.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
