Wilson - Celebration of Life services for Donny "Ratchet" Clayburn, 63, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00pm, Tuesday February 9, 2021 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
Donny was born on July 1, 1957 in Wilson, OK to Jerry Don Clayburn, Sr. and Gwendolyn Marie (Latham) Clayburn. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Donny was raised in Wilson, graduating from Wilson High School in 1975. He played all sports and most excelled in basketball. Donny worked in the Oilfield for many years, primarily on drilling rigs as a derrick hand. His first job being with Vernon Tucker and he was also a truck driver. His most memorable job would have been for Lawrence and Lawana Forsythe, Forsythe Oil Field Service. His last job was with Forsythe Mud Disposal. He was an excellent gardener always having a thriving garden. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, play music, throw darts and loved watching Dallas Cowboys and the OU Sooners. Donny loved spending time with his kids and his grandkids. He loved just being at home with the Love of his life, Marsha and being "Old Man and Granny".
Preceding him in death was his Mother, Gwendolyn; brother, Ronny Clayburn; and brother-in-law, Richard Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha of the home; daughters, Casey Jacobs and husband Jeff, Corie Clayburn, and their Mother Denine Salyer, all of Madill, Cory Jepsen and her husband Mike of East Jordan, MI; sons, Jason Blain of Ardmore and Malcolm Sandlin and Michelle Dudek of Overbrook; brother, Billy Clayburn of Wilson; sisters, Shelia Clayburn and Barbara Ashley of Wilson; little sisters; Anita Wright and Connie K; special friend, Dala Turner; aunts, Joyce Sipe of Healdton, Lois Gibson and husband Verdo of Lone Grove, Cheryl Wilkes and husband Carlen of Ardmore and Kaye Idleman and husband Jerry of Madill; a special "Mom", Dee Massey and 9 brother-in-laws; 10 grandchildren and one great grandson on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends of all ages.
Honorary Bearers will be Larry Forsythe, Jason Wright, Nick Hayes, Jake Clayburn, and Bill Clayburn, Jr., Garry Moore, Chuck Greenroyd, E.J. Forsythe, Dawson Wright and the 2000 T-Ball Team.
The Wilson yacht club; Larry Heath, Rick "Flash" Burris, Rick Copeland, Max Burris, and Randy Hacker.
The "Originals" band members; Charlie Ammons, Steve Allison, Miles Goode, Flash, and Chris Hayes.
