Sulphur - Memorial Services for Mr. Jerry Dale Baker, Sr. of Sulphur are scheduled for 10:00 am Wed. Oct. 21, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness of Sulphur. Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory of Ringling.
Mr. Jerry Dale Baker, Sr. was born September 14, 1948 at Blythe, CA to Mr. Howard "Bill" Morgan Baker and Mrs. Jessie Jewel (Choate) Baker. He departed this life Friday October 16, 2015 at the Mercy Hospital in Healdton.
Jerry was raised as 1 of 9 children being part of a migrant family moving frequently following work. He always considered Elmore City and Wynnewood area his home. Jerry was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served bravely being awarded 3 purple hearts, 1 bronze star among many other medals and decorations. After his honorable discharge, he returned to the Wynnewood area and married his lifelong friend, Ms. Candi Rose on March 3, 1970 at Montague, TX.
Jerry worked as a ranch hand and plumber most of his working years. He loved to play the guitar, do woodworking, break horses, coon hunt and fish. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness of Sulphur.
Preceding him death was his father, Howard "Bill" Baker; brother, Donnie Baker and most recently his daughter, Michella Baker.
Survivors include his loving wife Candi of the home in Sulphur; daughters, Misty Scheuerman and husband Tony of Ardmore and Morgan Dee Baker of the home; Son, Jerry Dale Baker, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Antlers; mother, Jewel Baker of Wynnewood; sisters, Linda, Barbara and Lisa; brothers, Kenny, Ronnie, Barney and Keith; grandchildren, Dalton, Kaia and Jack; numerous other family and friends.
