Jerrilene Willis

Lone Grove - Graveside services for longtime Lone Grove resident, Mrs. Jerrilene (Taliaferro) Willis, 85 are schedulde for 10:00 AM Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at the Taliaferro Family Cemetery with Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Jerrilene was born April 26, 1929 at Lone Grove to the late Mr. Oris W. and Mrs. Annie (Parker) Taliaferro. She departed this life Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Wilson Nursing Center.

Jerrilene was raised at Lone Grove graduating high school in 1947. She then attended college at Durant before moving back to this area. She held many titles of employment but was most known for being the bookkeeper and secretary of Curtis Willis Plumbing of Lone Grove. She and Curtis were married in 1962 and owned and operated the plumbing business together for many years. He preceded her in death in 2004. Jerrilene was a proud 30 year cancer survivor and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Lone Grove.

In addition to Curtis, also preceding her in death is her Infant Twin Brother; her parents, Mr. Oris and Mrs. Annie Taliaferro; brothers, Orville, Fred, Edwin, and W.A. "Dub" Taliaferro; and a sister, Selma Hammett.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Monte Willingham of Wilson and Paul Willingham and wife Carol of Lone Grove; 2 Stepdaughters, Donna Solley and husband Kenneth and Vivian Craig and husband Gary, all of Ardmore; 3 sisters in law, Deloris Taliaferro, Bobbie Taliaferro and Louise Taliaferro, all of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Trina Quinton, RaeAnn Azbill and husband Todd, Deah Turner and husband Jeremy, Brian Solley and Brad Solley; numerous great grandchildren and other family.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at the funeral parlor in Wilson.
