Jennifer was born in Ardmore, on February 16, 1975, to the late Mr. Emet Lee Phillips and Mrs. Ruby Lavern (Apala) Phillips. She went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Jennifer's journey began in the small town of Ringling where she spent her youth surrounded by family and friends. A proud member of the graduating class of 1993, she embraced her education, furthering her studies at the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology and later earning a Teaching degree and a degree in Medical Coding at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. Jennifer's career reflected her compassionate spirit and dedication to nurturing young minds. She returned to her roots in Ringling to devote her professional life to education, first serving as a teacher's aide at Zaneis Public School before finding her calling as a teacher at Ringling Public School. Throughout her teaching career, Jennifer had the pleasure of working with children in various grades, from third grade to kindergarten, and ultimately as a beloved Pre-K teacher. Her passion for teaching was matched only by her unwavering love for her own children and grandchildren, whom she doted upon fiercely. She took time away from her career to provide care and support for her grandchildren, embodying the true heart of a family matriarch.
On June 1, 2014, Jennifer married the love of her life, Mr. Jimmy Stoker, in a heartfelt ceremony at the home of his sister, Jamie. Their bond was a testament to love, laughter, and mutual support, creating beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those around them. Jennifer never met a stranger and had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
