Jeannie Leigh Poplin

Cheek - Funeral Services for Mrs. Jeannie Leigh (Morgan) Poplin, 55 of Ardmore are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Cheek Baptist Church with Rev. David Gardner officiating and Rev. Ron Elmore assisting. Interment will follow to Morgan Rest Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. The family respectfully ask that everyone in attendance to please wear a mask.

Jeannie was born September 9, 1965 in Ardmore, OK to Mr. Jerruel Ray "Jerry" Morgan, Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Lee (Romines) Morgan in Ardmore, OK. She departed from this life on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Ardmore, OK.

Jeannie was raised in Cheek graduating from Lone Grove High School in 1983. She attended some college at Ardmore Higher Ed before marrying and having two children with Donnie Poplin. She worked for Michelin for 21 years lastly working in finishing. Jeannie loved her grandchildren and animals. She was a member of the Cheek Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her brother, Johnny Travis Morgan.

Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Autumn Poplin of Ardmore; son, Brandon Poplin of Ardmore; parents, Jerry and Bertha Morgan of Cheek; sister, Ruthie Morgan of Norman; brothers, Ray Morgan and wife Sarah of Lone Grove and James Morgan and wife Tammy of Cheek; grandchildren, Summer, Lexi, Alison and Austin; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Roe, Jim James Gillaspy, Billy Joy, Jimmy Dale Dewbre, Johnny Dewbre, and Billy Joe Dewbre. Honorary bearers will be Ray Morgan, James Morgan, Donnie Poplin, and Brandon Poplin.
