Jay Virgil Sargent

– Memorial Services for Mr. Jay Virgil Sargent, 53, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Thomas Russell officiating and David Russell assisting. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Jay was born September 12, 1959 at Ringling, OK. to Mr. Jay Elvin Sargent and Mrs. Jackie Dean (Black) Sargent. He passed from this life June 15, 2013 at Ardmore, OK. at the age of 53.

Jay was raised at Healdton and Ardmore. He soon began working in the oilfield and worked for several oilfield companies on drilling rigs. Jay married the former Karen Finley August 8, 1988 at Ardmore, OK. He was a cowboy at heart. Jay enjoyed participating in rodeos as a young man and broke horses. He was a very good dancer. Jay attended church at Faith Heritage Church of Lone Grove. He was a very caring son, father and was a blessing to his family.

Preceding him in death are his Father, Jay Elvin Sargent in 2000. Brother,Jay Don Sargent: Sister, Stephanie Carlene Sargent.

Survivors include Wife, Karen Sargent of the home n Ardmore, Ok.; Daughters, Joyce Sargent of Ardmore, OK. , Jessica Sargent of Ardmore, OK.; Mother, Jackie Croskell and husband Joe of Ardmore, OK.; Sisters, Barbara Diann Sargent of Fort Worth, TX., Patricia Sue Jennings and husband Joe of Ratliff City, OK., Pamela Beth Bryant of Lone Grove, OK.; Brother, Gene Croskell of Ardmore, OK.; One Expected Grandchild; Parents In Laws, Edward and Dorthy Finley of Lone Grove; Numerous Nieces, Nephews , Family and Friends.
