March 28, 1996 — August 30, 2023

Wilson- Funeral Services for Jason Michael Bethea, 27, of Sand Springs, OK, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home at Wilson.

Jason was born March 28, 1996, at Ardmore to Renee (Slawson) Bethea and the late Mr. Jason Lee Bethea. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in Woodward, OK.

Jason began school at Zaneis then Wilson until the family began moving around which led to him attending a few different schools.  He played baseball, ran track and field, was active in band, FFA, and showing goats, attended VoTech for business development and then for carpentry.  Jason finished out his High School attendance at Vici High School in Vici, OK with the class of 2016. Before graduating, he became a father to a beautiful baby girl, Irene. Jason was a hard worker, from working with his dad welding to working in construction at  White's Construction where he has been for the last 2 years. He was an artist of many talents from woodworking to drawing. Jason loved to build things, doing things outdoors like camping, fishing, riding dirt bikes, kayaking, skateboarding, and he had an amazing green thumb that could grow anything. Although Jason lacked in coordination, he was fearless and would try anything at least once.   He was very interested in educating people on random facts, he would always start off with "Did you know...?"  Jason recently learned he was going to be a daddy again to another baby girl, Jaye Marie Bethea.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, James and Nina Slawson and his father, Jason.

Survivors include his mother, Renee Bethea and her fiancé, Kevin Butcher of Sand Springs, OK; daughter, Irene Riley of Colorado; significant other, Karanda Culver of Woodward, OK; brothers, Justin Bethea and wife Hailey of Asher, OK and Joseph “JoJo” Bethea of Sand Springs, OK; grandparents, Ronnie and Gale Caldwell of Arkansas; Aunts, Dawn Bethea and Jennifer Bethea of Arkansas; Uncle, Roy Slawson of Mannford, OK; nephew, Jesse Dean Lee Bethea; many cousins, other family and a host of friends.
