Milo- Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Lee (Jenkins) Burton, 51, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. February 12, 2014 at the Milo Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery of Duncan. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Janet was born January 9, 1963 at Ardmore to Mr. Donald Ray Jenkins and Mrs. Margie A. (Inmon) Jenkins. She departed this life Saturday morning February 8, 2014 at her home in Healdton.
She married Kurtis Gene Burton on February 16, 2007 in Gainesville, TX. She worked at the Healdton Nursing Home for 4 years and was employed by ODOT for 11 years where she retired due to health reasons.
Janet enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with her grandbabies and family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her Mother, Margie A. Jenkins; Marguerite Sanner, Billy W. Jenkins, Loran Inmon and Dean Jenkins.
Survivors include her husband Kurtis Gene Burton of the home; Daughter, Sabrina L. Burns and husband Daniel of Oil City. 2 Step Children, Jennifer Ned Smith and Bradley Burton, both of Wilson; Sister, Sheila Reynolds and husband Henry of Ratliff City; Father, Don R. Jenkins of Velma; 2 Grandchildren, Dillon and Macy Burns of Oil City; Other family who include Shirley and Charlie Boyer of Duncan, J.C. Sanner of Duncan,
Joyce Wedger of Velma, Faye Thorton of Farmington, New Mexico.Numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Paul Boyer, Johnny Boyer, Chuck Bonham, Glen Mitchell, Herman Copeland and Robert Jobe.
Honorary Bearers are Daniel Burns, Zack Conely, Keith Bonham and Bradley Burton.
The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Faith Hospice for all the love and dedication given in their time of need, especially to Jennifer, Nicole, Shelly, Rachel and Grace for all your help.
Family visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
