Wilson - Jamie Lynn Strimple was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She left this world on Saturday September 24th, 2022, at the age of 66.
Jamie was born on March 30th, 1956, to Conger and Sammie Knight in Oklahoma City, Ok. She grew up the middle child with 8 loving siblings. She credits her early life with instilling in her the overabundance of love she has for her family and friends.
Jamie met her first husband William “Buzz” Dorris thru mutual friends and they married in the fall of 1973 and had 3 children: Sammie, Bill, and Freedom. After their divorce she met Timothy the love of her life in 1981 and finally marrying him, in the summer of 1989 with whom she has been married over 40 years and had two more children, Tim and Sheldon.
As Jamie’s family grew, she spent time working on and off, but mostly being a loving wife and mother. She loved to read, sew, working in a small garden, and painting and repainting her kitchen with the whatever color that suited her at the time (and this was quite often), as this was the heart of the family home where her love of cooking and baking for family and friends was always followed my games of all kinds. Family was everything to her, but when she became a Nana in October 2003, she had finally found her calling. She loved being a Nana, and each and every one of her grandchildren always held a very special place in her heart no matter how many miles were between them.
Jamie and Timothy moved back to Oklahoma in the winter of 2021, to be closer to her family. She loved sitting on her wrap around porch admiring her flowers and the hummingbirds that were always coming to say hello and grabbing a quick drink.
Jamie is survived by her Husband Timothy, 4 of her children and their spouses, daughter Sammie and her fiancé Bryan, daughter Freedom and husband Barry, son Tim and wife Elizabeth, and Son Sheldon. Grandchildren Brooklyn, Keaton, Aiden, Kylee, Blake, Tristin, Makayla, Amy, Rylen, and Ella; sisters Shirley, Bea, Anna Mae and Doris; and brothers Glen, Buddy and Paul. She is predeceased by her parents Conger and Sammie, son Bill, nephew Michael, sister Nina and her husband James, their son-in-law Jason.
