James "Jimmy " Irving King
Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. James "Jimmy" Irving King, 62, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday August 7, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Cornish Cemetery in Ringling.
Jimmy was born February 14, 1953 at Wilson to the late Mr. Edgar Dorsey King and Mrs. Maimita Dean (Lee) King. He departed this life Saturday August 1, 2015 at a nursing home facility in Ardmore.
Jimmy was a resident of Wilson all of his life. He attended school at Wilson and left school early to work in the Oilfield. Jimmy also competed professionally as a bull rider traveling across the United States. Unfortunately his rodeoing career was abruptly ended due to a horse training accident that left him partially paralyzed for the remaining years of his life.
Jimmy always kept a daily journal enjoying recording his daily activities. He also enjoyed playing any and all board games. He was a past member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson.
Preceding him in death were his Parents, Edgar and Maimita; 2 twin sisters, Bonnie and Betty; and a brother, Terry Lynn King.
Survivors include his daughters, Heather Goodman of Madill and Tami Williams-Anderson of Tulsa; sister, Tammy White of Wilson; brother, Ronnie King and wife Cindy of Ringling; grandchildren, Alexis and Drake Goodman; numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Josh Goodman, Rick Anderson, Matthew Cox, Ronnie King, Alan White and Josh White.
Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
