James Daren Smith

Wilson - Funeral Services for James Daren Smith, Jr., 3 of Wilson is scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Interment will follow to Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

James was born on May 1, 2017 in Ardmore, OK to James Darin Smith and Kyla Rose Burgess. He departed from this life Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Healdton.

James was raised in Wilson and Purcell. He absolutely loved Spider Man, Batman, cars and motorcycles. But most of all, he loved playing with his sister. James loved being a mechanic like his daddy and stealing his papas popsicles. One thing you will always see him doing is going Boom Boom! James was a free spirit little man who will be deeply missed.

Preceding him in death are his great grandfathers, Kenneth Weber and Richard Smith.

James is survived by his mother, Kyla Burgess of Byars; father, Darin Smith of Wilson, siblings, Karmen Wages and Campbell Wages of Byars; grandparents, Frank Smith and Sheila Burgess, Michael Burgess and Anita Richard all of Wilson, and Leona Estes of Purcell; great grandmothers, Pam Hunt and Ladonna Weber: aunts, Kristin Richard and husband Chris of Wilson and Christian Byrd of Wilson; uncles, Frank Smith, Jr. of Wilson, Joseph Rogers of Enid, Casey Smith of Redrock, OK, Chris Smith of Enid, and Robert Burgess of Kansas; cousins, Morgan and Samantha Richard, Adrian, and Sharon and Richard Smith; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Richard, Frank Smith, Sr and Chris Smith. Honorary bearers will be Joseph Rogers, Casey Smith, Robert Burgess, Aaron Bailey, Shannon Estes, and Frank Smith, Jr.
