Mr. James Anthony “Tony” Prewitt
Ringling - Funeral Services for Mr. James Anthony “Tony” Prewitt, 48, of Ringling is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wed., May 6, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.
Tony was born March 16, 1961 in Harrisonville, MO to Mr. James Francis Prewitt and Mrs. Elouise (Hagebush) Prewitt. He departed this life Sunday morning, May 3, 2009 at his home in Ringling.
Tony was raised at Blue Springs, MO graduating from high school there in 1979. He and the former Ms. Vickie Lou Armstrong were united in marriage on January 31, 2000 at Oklahoma City. They moved to Ringling 5yrs ago and since Tony has held employment at Dillon Environmental working at the More Boom Shop. He loved working there and enjoyed all his co workers. He appreciated the outdoors always loving to hunt. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and loved to camp. Tony was of the Baptist Faith.
Preceding him in death is his Father, Mr. Jim Prewitt, august of 2007, and his stepfather, Robert “Bob” Kitchen, Dec. 26, 2007.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Vickie Weatherford Armstrong Prewitt of the home, Mother, Elouise Kitchen of Joplin, MO. Stepchildren, Melissa Stephens and David Emberling, both of Oklahoma City. 2 Step Grandchildren, Kearstyn and Nick Stephens. Sisters, Sandra Noll of Liberty, MO, Dana Stevens of Blue Springs, MO, and Leah Everett of Joplin, MO. Brother, Rick Prewitt of Warrington, MO. Father in law, Dean Armstrong of Ringling. Mother in law and stepfather in law, Edna Holloway and Bob Holloway of Oklahoma City. Brothers in law, Sam, Bobby and Tim Armstrong and Tony Wood. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Craig “Ben” Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Joel Sloat, Doug Whitman, Josh Smith, Matt McCleary, Rusty Allen, and Bobby Armstrong.
Honorary bearers will be all Dillon Environmental and More Boom Employees.
