Jacqueline Renee Yocum

Graveside services for Jacqueline "Renee" Yocum, 64, of Ringling, are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 28, 2025, at Grady Cemetery with Bro. Paul Jackson officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

Renee was born July 26, 1960, at Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Harold “Jack” Edward Yocum and Mrs. Maude (Ivie) Yocum. She departed this life Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Ardmore, OK.

Renee graduated with the Ringling High School class of 1978, a milestone that marked the beginning of her lifelong commitment to education and service. Her passion for knowledge led her to attend Murray State College, where she further cultivated her love for books and learning going on to obtain her Bachelors Degree from East Central University in 1981. She later received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 1988. For several years, Renee held the position of Librarian at Tishomingo, where she dedicated herself to fostering a love for reading among her patrons. She later returned to her roots in Ringling, continuing her noble work as the town Librarian, a role that highlighted her unwavering commitment to her community and its educational needs. Renee was more than just a librarian; she was an active member of the Courtney Homemakers Club and a cherished participant in the Courtney Methodist Church. Her involvement in these organizations showcased her dedication to her community's social and spiritual fabric. Known for her warm disposition and friendly smile, Renee was well-liked by everyone she encountered. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Jack and Maude.

Survivors include her special cousins, Timothy Laughlin, Brent Thompson, Chad Thompson, Michael Tak Wilkerson, and Chainey Austin; numerous other family and many friends.

Honorary bearers are the Ringling High School Class of 1978.
