Services for Jackie “Jack” Gerald Criswell, 86, of Lone Grove are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. David Allen officiating.
Jack was born December 24, 1936, at Wewoka, OK to the late Mr. Ray Henderson Criswell and Mrs. Esther Pauline (Miller) Criswell. He departed this life Sunday, March 19, 2023, at his home in Lone Grove.
Jack grew up in Wewoka, attending school there where he was quite the football star on the High School team, graduating with the class of 1956. Jack met the love of his life, former Miss Mary Lou Dunn, and they were later married on July 22, 1957, in a little Methodist Church at Greeley, Colorado. They made their home in Wewoka and were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Lou Ann. They later moved to Anchorage, Alaska where they resided for 15 years and in 1975 Jack accepted Christ as his personal Savior. In 1983 the couple, along with their daughter and grandsons, moved to Lone Grove where Jack worked as a Used Car Salesman and also had the Ardmoreite paper route for 38 years, “rolling and throwing” as his grandson would say. He loved fishing, camping, family get-togethers, and spending time with his grandkids. Jack was also a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Ardmore.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Ray and Esther; siblings, Bonnie, Paul, Pat, and Bill.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Criswell of the home; daughter, Lou Ann Stahl of Lone Grove; sister, Carolyn Smith of Shreveport, LA; sister-in-law, Ann Criswell of Odessa, TX; grandsons, Jesse Tubbs and wife Stacy of Oklahoma City and Justin Tubbs of Lone Grove; great grandchildren, Cindy Lou Tubbs and Nathan Daniel Tubbs; nieces and nephews, Latricia, Lacinda, Paula, Teresa, Rick, Brenda, Belinda and Billie; numerous other family and a host of friends.
