Memorial Services for Mrs. Jackie Dean (Black) Croskell, 78 of Ardmore are scheduled for 11 AM, Tuesday August 16, 2016 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with David Russell officiating and Thomas Russell and Steve Russell assisting.


Mrs. Jackie Dean (Black) Croskell was born April 29, 1938 in Orr, Oklahoma to the late Mr. Alferd Delbert “Steve” Black and Lucille Elizabeth (Guthrie) Alexander. She departed from this life on August 10, 2016 in Ardmore.


Jackie was raised in Orr. She married Joe E. Croskell March 9, 1967 in Gainesville. Jackie worked outside her home in the public for many many years. She found her calling as a caregiver and was very passionate following that as a Nurse’s Aide at the Ardmore V.A. Center for 16 years. Jackie enjoyed shopping and being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.


Jackie is preceded in death by her father, Steve Black; mother, Lucille Elizabeth Alexander; sister, Patsy Jo Black; brother John Edward “Sonny” Black, Sr.; son, Jay Sargent; infant daughter, Stephanie Dean Sargent.


She is survived by her husband Joe of the home; children, Pam Bryant of Ardmore, Pat Jennings and husband Joe of Ratliff City and Gene Croskell of Ardmore, Diann Sargent of Ft. Worth, TX, Jolyn Baldwin and husband Steve of Edmond, Leawyn Hampton of Oklahoma City; special daughter in law, Karen Ruth Sargent of Ardmore; brother, Donald Winston and wife Judy of Braggs, OK; 13 grandchildren with 1 other on the way; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.


Honorary bearers will be Jimbo Fincher, Chase Jennings, Tate Jennings, Dillon Kenaga, Ryan Kenaga and Nathan Thogmartin.
