Graveside Services for Mr. Hughs Franklin Sanders, 71, of Ardmore are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson with Family officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Hughs was born February 19, 1942 in Wilson, Oklahoma to Mr. Dee William Sanders and Mrs. Katie Ophelia (Roberts) Sanders. He passed from this life Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the V.A. Center in Ardmore Oklahoma.
Hughs was raised in Wilson and received his G.E.D. after entering the U.S. Army on January 16, 1964 and transferred to the U.S. Navy in 1967 where he served until he was discharged on January 3, 1969. Hughs served in Vietnam in both the Army and the Navy.
He lived in Greenville, Texas after he was discharged from the Navy and worked for E Systems
as a Structure Mechanic in Airplane Modification for 12 years. Hughs moved back to Wilson in the 1970’s and became employed in the Oilfields for Hobart Wilson and Southerland and Trail Well Service on Pulling Units. He was a member of the V.A. Post # 4865 on Lake Murray Drive in Ardmore.
Preceding him in death are his Parents; Brothers; Billy, Royce, Wayne and Charles Sanders.
Survivors include his Sisters, Wanda Tilly and husband Herbert of Supulpa, OK., Louise Young and husband Bud of Wilson, OK.; Brothers, Merle Sanders of Weatherford, TX., Bobby Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas, Clinton Sanders and wife Norma of Ardmore, OK.; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
Pallbearers are Family and Friends.
