Mr. Henry Lawrence Lee, age 77, of Ardmore, departed this life on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his residence in Ardmore. Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Milo, Oklahoma with Rev. Ricky McGee officiating and Pastor Ronnie Godwin,Pastor Willie Irvin, and Pastor Kirk Rushing assisting. Interment will follow at the Hickory Cemetery in Milo. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, OK.
Mr. Lee was born on June 9, 1940 to the late Mr. Lathie Lee Sr. and Mrs. Juanita Stevenson Lee in Milo.
Henry was raised and lived in the Milo area most of his life. He married Willie Leon Shannon and to this union they were blessed with six daughters. Mr. Lee began working as a mechanic for Jimmy Rex Chatham in the early 80’s and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years. Henry enjoyed the farm life and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Lee July 25, 2014; his parents, seven brothers and sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory; daughters, Wanda Dorsey and husband Daniel of Ardmore, Marilyn Neal and husband Tracy of Oklahoma City, Donna Prince of Ardmore, Tina Johnson and husband Jesse of Duncan, Loria Maytubby and husband Karlos of Ardmore, Tracy Cohee and husband Joe of Ardmore, Penny Fitzgerald and husband Leonard of Lawton, Janet Knight of Chickasha; sons, Bobby Knight of Oklahoma City, Ray Charles Adkins of Oklahoma City, sisters, Geneva Wright and husband Leroy of Milo, Cleta Prince of Moore; brother, Benny Lee of Lone Grove, Ollie Lee of Oklahoma City; 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as casket bearers are Daniel Dorsey III, Marcus Smith, Justin Anderson, Jimmy Rex Chatham, Randy Milson, Cody Norman and Trey Cohee.
Serving as flower girls are Desha Mims, Wanisha Lee, Lamonica Lee, Ray Lee Wright, Carla Lee, Ashley Stevenson, and Latricia Fitzgerald.
Family visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Stephen Treadwell, St. Anthony’s Hospital, Aspire Hospice, and the many ministers providing wonderful care to their father.
