Ringling- Services for Mrs. Helen Marie Woods Wynn, 77, of Ringling, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Church of God Fellowship in Ringling, with Bro. John Rudick and Ellen Abshire officiating. Interment service will be held at 2:30 P.M. at the Callisburg Cemetery in Callisburg, TX. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
Helen was born February 21, 1946, at East Prairie, MS, to the late Mr. A.D. Woods and Mrs. Johnnie Lou (Frye) Woods. She departed this life Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her home in Ringling.
Helen grew up in East Prairie, MS where she attended school. At a young age she was married and blessed with 2 daughters, Toni and Paula. Later Helen resided in Southern Illinois, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Mr. Thomas Dean Wynn. The couple married on March 14, 1974, at Charleston, MS, but they made their home in Southern Illinois. Helen and Tom were blessed with a daughter, Annette and they later became the adopted parents to a granddaughter, Heather Wynn. They sold their home and relocated to the Dallas, TX area where they lived for over 30 years. In 2021, Helen and Tom made Ringling, OK their home where they attended church at the Church of God Fellowship. Helen had a love for wearing a cowgirl hat and cowgirl boots. In fact, the kids that rode her school bus knew her for wearing such. She had a passion for music as she was very talented in playing the Mandolin and the Guitar. Helen loved traveling, camping, and spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers, Garry, Larry, and J.D.; her grandmother that raised her; aunt, Robbie; cousin, Paulene; great grandchild, Lafayette.
Survivors include husband, Thomas Dean Wynn of the home; daughters, Toni Romine of Gainesville, TX, Paula Hembree and significant other, Brad Coleman of Whitesboro, TX, Annette Gray and husband Jarrod of Callisburg, TX, and Heather Wynn of Callisburg, TX; brothers, Jim Woods and Kenny Woods of East Prairie, MS; grandchildren, Christopher Romine, Jennifer Romine, Gary Poe, Venetta Poe, Quinten Jones, Stormy Barnett, Cameron Murphy, and Nathan Wooten; Great grandchildren, Naviya, Andrea, Dezmon, Malaki, D’Metrious, Andre, Dominic, Crislyn, Christopher, Kevin, Karma, Jerry III, Ryot, Gatlen, Daisy, Iris, and Journey; numerous other family and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Gary Poe, Quinten Jones, Cameron Murphy, Nathan Wooten, Dezmon Poe, Chris Romine, and Jarrod Gray.
Family visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 3-5 P.M., at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling.
