Helen Marie Chivers

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Marie (Vallery) Chivers, 81, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Kevin Keenan , Charlie Chivers III and Gordon Loveless officiating. Interment will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Ardmore . Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Helen Marie (Vallery) Chivers was born November 1, 1933 at Alexandria, LA to the late Mr. Woodrow Wilson Vallery and Mrs. Mary Pearl (Mayeaux) Vallery. She passed peacefully from this life Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at her residence in Oklahoma City, OK with her children, grandchildren and two dogs by her side.

Helen married Mr. Charlie Eynon Chivers JR. at Natchez , MS in 1950. They soon moved to Oklahoma making their home at Dillard, OK in 1954. Helen was a homemaker for most of her life. She became a nurse later in life and continued with a nursing career for 25 years.

Helen was preceded in death by her Parents, Woodrow and Pearl Vallery; Husband, Charlie Chivers and Son, Paul Michael Chivers.

She is survived by her Son, Charlie Eynon Chivers III and wife, Beverly of Ardmore; Three Daughters, Janice Chivers of Oklahoma City, Joan Keenan and husband, Kevin of Oklahoma City and Patty Loveless and husband, Gordon of Oklahoma City; Grandchildren, Derek, Dustin, Tessla, Ashley, Charley, Theresa, Melody and Joshua; twelve great grandchildren and three additional great grandchildren on their way. Numerous other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are Dustin Chivers, Derek Chivers, Joshua Hatley, Gordon Loveless, Shawn Farber and Richard Mills.

Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2014 11 AM – 1 PM prior to the service.
