Healdton – A celebration of the life of Mrs. Hazel Arletha (Lee) Gamon, age 89, will be held at 10:00 A.M on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Matt Benedick officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.

Hazel was born on April 17, 1935, in Dougherty, OK, to the late Valda Clifton Lee and Stella Mae (Kirby) Lee. She peacefully transitioned from this life on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her home in Healdton.

Raised in Dickson, Hazel married Mr. Jack Gamon on November 28, 1951, in Gainesville, TX. Their union was blessed with four children: Rick, Jack, Deena, and Sonjia. The family resided in Irving, TX, before moving to Healdton in 1976. Hazel dedicated much of her life to the healthcare sector as a CNA and caretaker. She had a passion for painting and sewing and found joy in reading local newspapers. Hazel particularly loved tending to her gardens, but her greatest love was for her family.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; her grandson, Austin Lee Rodgers; her brothers, Bob, Son, and Gene Lee; her great-granddaughter, Lisa Marie Gamon; and her daughter-in-law, Raedonna Gamon.

She is survived by her sons, Rick Gamon and wife Cynthia of Krum, TX, and Jack Gamon of Healdton; her daughters, Deena Parks and husband Ernest of Healdton, and Sonjia Gamon of Healdton; her brothers, Harold Lee and wife Connie of Ardmore, and Donald Lee and wife Shirley of Ardmore; her sisters, Patsy Payne and husband Charles of Ardmore, and Helen Lee of Kingston; as well as six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.
