Grace Mildred Dobbins

Ringling – Pavilion services for Mrs. Grace Mildred (Allen) Dobbins, 88 are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling

Mrs. Grace Mildred (Allen) Dobbins was born February 2, 1928 at Ringling to late Mr. Joe and Mrs. Minnie (Parkerson) Allen. She passed from this life on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Wilson, OK following a lengthy illness.

Grace attended Mountain Home School all 12 years graduating in 1947. Grace and Bill Dobbins were married December 22, 1948. They made their home north of Ringling until 1970 when they moved to town. Grace worked as a beautician for many years but was primarily a homemaker. Grace and Bill enjoyed entertaining friends on Saturday nights to play dominoes. Grace could always be counted on to help family and friends that needed help. She loved going to her Family Reunion every July to visit and play bingo.

Grace accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of nine at the Mountain Home Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pearlie Baucom and husband Walter, Mary Davis and her husband Gene and her brothers, George Monroe, Finis and wife Willie, Lonnie and wife Dessie and Weldon and wife Mildred.

Survivors include her “Special Kids” Mollie and Larry Chesshir of Ardmore, Harold and Doris Allen of Ringling, Morris Allen of Ringling, Jerry Allen of Ardmore; nieces, JoeAnn Friedrickson and Jewel Boone both of Oklahoma City and nephews Carl Davis of Marlow and Delous Allen of Lawton.

Honorary bearers will be Morris Allen, Harold Allen, Rusty Allen, Jerry Allen, Leo Stagner, Guy Stagner and Larry Chesshir.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Wilson Nursing Center for the care Grace received for the last six and one-half years. For this we are truly grateful.
