Gary Van Presgrove

Velma - Funeral Services for Mr. Gary Van Presgrove, 64 of Velma are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Velma First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Higle officiating. A private interment will follow at the New Velma Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Velma.

Gary was born on Feb. 23, 1952 at Duncan to Mr. Herman G. Presgrove and Mrs. Esther Loretta (Sutton) Presgrove. He departed this life on Wed. July 27, 2016 at Lawton.

Gary was raised in Velma attending school here. He graduated from Velma High in 1970. Gary always worked in the Oilfield, most currently being employed for Bachman Chemicals.

Gary and the former Ms. Shelley Crank were united in marriage on Feb. 24, 2001 at Henrietta, TX. They had been together 10 years prior to their marriage.

Gary was always the type that liked to work and stay busy. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was a member of the Velma Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death is his father, Herman Presgrove in 1977 and a nephew Skipper T Clark in 2005.

Survivors include his wife Shelley of the home; daughter, Holly McGuire and husband Andy of Velma; Son, Peyton Presgrove and wife Kaley of Velma; Shelby Womack whom he loved liked a daughter; grandchildren, Andrew, Savannah, Kennedy, Daylee and Ellie; Sisters, Lynda Clark and husband Calvin of Garland, TX, and Shirley McCutchin and husband Carl of Lone Grove; brothers, Leslie Presgrove and wife Patty, Thomas Presgrove, Terry Sutton and wife Kayann, all of Velma; mother, Esther Presgrove of Velma; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers Peyton Presgrove, Coy Staggs, Dusty Presgrove, Toby Presgrove, Ty Clark and Calvin Clark.

Honorary Bearers are Terry Sutton, Leslie Presgrove, Tommy Presgrove, Zachary Crank and Jerry Crank.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday Evening at the funeral home in Velma.
