Gary Lynn Harman, age 73, peacefully passed away at his home in Ringling, OK, surrounded by those he loved, on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Gary was born on November 11, 1949, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Richard Harman and Kathryn Mickey Harman.
Gary was born and raised in Pennsylvania where he enlisted in the Army at age 17. He had a zest for life and adventure. After retiring from his long-term career as an appliance repair service technician, he traveled west, where he fell in love with the beautiful nature and open landscape of Oklahoma. He enjoyed visiting nature parks, touring natural history museums, and watching nature and history documentaries. He filled his time with many hobbies over the years including fishing, hunting, photography, ceramics, computing, tinkering, and collecting coins, artifacts, and fossils. His drive and passion for life saw him through chronic illness and gave him hope till the very end.
Gary is survived by his wife, Terri (Naia) Manuel; son, Grant Harman; daughter, Lori Harman-Potteiger and husband Mark; daughter, Christina (Harman) Kinard and husband Brian; brother, Richard Harman and wife Lenora; sister, Nancy Harman; grandchildren, Megan Salvucci, Hope Potteiger, Sarah Kinard, Delanie Potteiger, Deseree Kinard, and Elliot Potteiger; 3 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family and friends.
Cremation services by Alexander Gray Funeral Home. There will be no service per Gary’s request. The family will have a small, private celebration of life at a later date.
