Gary was born in Dillard, Oklahoma, on September 7, 1940, to Roy and Lorene Labeth. He attended school in Wilson, where he met the love of his life, Annie Mae Newell.  The two graduated in May 1958 and were married on September 15, 1958.  They moved to Oklahoma City, where he attended college and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.  He furthered his education at the University of Oklahoma with a Masters of Business Administration with a

Gary was very active in the Church of Christ as an excellent Bible class teacher and leader for the church.  He would spend hours studying God’s Word and preparing for his classes.  He was willing to share his faith with anyone he came in contact with, and the prayers he led were always heartfelt and meaningful.  He had the privilege of officiatingmany couples as they began their married lives, as well as officiating several funerals and supporting families through difficulty.  Gary was fully devoted to his Lord and his
family, known for being a loving husband, an attentive and caring father, and a fun and supportive Papa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  The ripple of influence that he had is far-reaching and a testament to the life he lived.
