Garland Ray Hooper

Garland Ray Hooper, 84 of Lone Grove was born in Loco Oklahoma May 2, 1939 to Jack and Gladys Hooper. He departed from this life on Monday, September 18, 2023 at a local nursing home in Ardmore.  Garland was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother's Orvis and Billy Hooper and his son Billy Hooper.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. 

He is survived by his wife Martha Hooper of the home and his son Daniel Hooper, his wife Julie, and three grandchildren.

He was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1957.

Garland was a man of vibrant health and vitality, known for his passion for staying fit. He embraced an active lifestyle, finding joy in riding his bike and taking long, scenic walks.

Beyond his commitment to physical well-being, Garland had a generous spirit and a deep connection to his faith. Throughout his entire life, he demonstrated his generosity by supporting religious charities that aligned with his values and beliefs.
