The service will conclude at the chapel. Frankie was born October 13, 1945, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Franklin Harlen Dewitt and Dorothy Mae (Wells) Dewitt. Frankie was raised in Wilson and Dillard, Oklahoma. He attended many schools as his family moved around but graduated high school in 1963 at Kimball County High in Kimball, Nebraska. Frankie began working in Kimball in the oil field when he graduated high school. Shortly after, the family moved to Sterling, Colorado and then again to Fort Morgan, Colorado where they remained in the oil field. The family returned to Wilson where Frankie took a break from the oil field and took a job at a service station his cousin owned where he worked as a mechanic and doing odds and ends for the business. Working at the service station is where he met his best friend, and the love of his life Marilyn Kay Hodges. Shortly after, Frankie and Marilyn were married in 1970. Their wedding took place in the Hodges living room and they were married for 53 years before Frankie passed away. Frankie and Marilyn moved to Colorado after getting married and welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world in 1971 and a son shortly after in 1976. Frankie went back to the oil field life when they moved back to Colorado where he worked for Baney Well Service. Over the years, Frankie built drilling rigs, worked as welder, and spent the last 28 years of his life before retiring working as a contract pumper and owned his own business. Frankie enjoyed spending time with his family, working on projects around the house, taking trips with his wife camping, volunteering at the soup kitchen, and attending church. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Dorothy and Harlen Dewitt, his brother Ron Dewitt, and many other loved ones. Frankie is survived by his wife Marilyn Dewitt, daughter Kim Hooton, son Brad (Robin) Dewitt, sister Darlene (Eddie) Clubb, brother Raymond (Leslie) Dewitt, grandchildren Breyona (Brandon) Hill, Kelby (Kendra) Hooton, Sydney (Chase) Debus, and Cooper Dewitt, great grandchildren Kadence and Kyler Hooton, Cruze and Jett Debus, and Greyson Hill and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Frankie's wife, Marilyn Dewitt, PO Box 1046, Sterling, CO 80751, where she plans to donate contributions to the local soup kitchens in honor of Frankie's love to help people in need.
