Wilson – Funeral Services for Francis Wayne Rozzell, 72 , of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday Nov. 1, 2010 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Monte Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Francis was born May 29, 1938 at Ardmore to the late Mr. Jacob Elgin Rozzell and Mrs. Therilda Elizabeth (Collins) Rozzell. He departed this life Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore.
Francis was raised in Ardmore attending school there and at Plainview. He joined the Oklahoma National Guard in 1955 and later moved to Hollywood, CA where he served 7 years in the Army Reserves. He was honorably discharged in 1963 and returned to Oklahoma in 1966. He and the former Wilma Tadlock Marshall were united in marriage August 24, 1988 at Ardmore.
Francis was employed as a produce manager for Sooner Foods of Sulphur for 19 years, retiring from there in 2009. He enjoyed fishing and big family gatherings with lots of food. He was a member of the Rexroat Baptist Church.
Those preceding him in death are his Parents, and Sisters, Joyce, Laveda, Diretha Faye and Geraldine.
Survivors include his wife Wilma of the home, Sons, Billy Wayne Rozzell of Lone Grove, Mark Allen Rozzell of Honolulu, HI, David Wayne Rozzell of Ardmore, Travis Marshall and Dehue Marshall of Millers Beach, IN, and Justin Marshall of Wilson. Daughters, Denise Prince of Ardmore, Karen Lyn Robertson and husband Gary of Ardmore and Teri Marshall. Brother, Jimmy Rozzell and wife Sandra of Ardmore. Grandchildren, Keith Beard, Jennifer Woods, Christy Tibbs, Valerie Woods, Blaine Rozzell, Justin Marshall, Gus Smith, Tricia Marshall, and Johnny Robertson. 5 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Barry Shrader, Bob Harper, Curt Tulley, Brock Tibbs, Gary Robertson and Roho Hartman.
Honorary Bearers are Jimmy Rozzell, Joseph Chilson, Bennie Cartwright, Sooner Foods of Sulphur and Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore.
Family visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home in Wilson.
