Faye Marie (Cox) Mcmillan Mccomber

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mrs. Faye McMillan McComber,94, are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Crystalrock Cathedral in Ardmore, Oklahoma with Dr. Walt Spradling officiating and Jason Riggs assisting. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson, Oklahoma. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Faye Marie (Cox) McMillan McComber was born on January 11, 1920 in Love County, Oklahoma to Mr. James Alvin Cox and Mrs. Eula Maud (Carlile) Cox. She was the fifth child born to them. She had 5 sisters and 7 brothers. Faye grew up in Love County. She had five sisters whom preceded her in death, Juanita Dane, Aleta Gray, Billie Griffin, Sue Buck Chambers and Joann Tynes Hyder; Five Brothers, Delbert Cox, Clarence Cox, Jack Cox, Hap Cox, and Dean Cox. She has two surviving brothers, Bob Cox and wife, Pat and Jimmy Cox and wife, Donna.

Faye loved going to church and also enjoyed being with her family.

When she was real young everyone called her Faye baby, and in her later years everyone started calling her Granny Faye.

Faye married Virgil McMillan in 1936 he preceded her in death on March 26, 1974 . She married Harold Wooldridge on May 27, 1975. Harold also preceded her in death on September 26, 1986 . Faye later married Les McComber on June 12, 1992 and he preceded her in death in 2009.

She and Virgil had one son Charles McMillan. She is survived by her son Charles and his wife her daughter –in–law Onita McMillan; Three Granddaughters, Jonita and husband, Chris Faulkner, Charla and husband, Jonnie Osborne, Melissa and husband, Michael McCurdy. Eight Great Grandchildren, Kaleb Edwards, Christopher Battles, Maranda Battles, Dakota McCurdy, Jacie Battles, Carlie McCurdy, Kammi Battles Shawn McKinney; One Great Great Grandson, Jaylan Battles.

Faye also had two step daughters whom she loved like her own Joy Linn Alexander and husband, Ron Alexander of Wilson and their son, Dee Alexander; Gail Bennison and husband, Bob .

Faye had lots of Nieces and Nephews and Special Friends.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Gale Tynes, Larry Don Buck, Jeremiah Cox, Bobby Dennis Cox, Donnell Cox and Tyler Riggs.

Honorary Bearers are Kaleb Edwards, Christopher Battles, Dakota McCurdy, Shawn McKinny, Ricky Gray and the staff of Ideal Homecare.

The Family would like to extend a special thank you to Jackie for taking care of Faye.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.
