Evyleen L Archer

February 24, 1940 — March 14, 2023

Services for Evyleen “Eva” L. Archer, 83, of Healdton, are scheduled for 2 P.M., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel at Wilson, OK with Bro. Wynes Manney and her brother, Don Staggs officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton.

Eva was born February 24, 1940, at Horatio, Arkansas to the late Mr. George Staggs and Mrs. Mamie (Chandler) Staggs. She departed this life Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at her home in Healdton.

Eva was raised in Arkansas and Oklahoma traveling with her family doing farm work. After the loss of her first husband, J.C. Roberts, her family arranged for her to meet Mr. James Archer and the couple were later married on June 3, 1968, at Wellington, TX. Together they lived in Ron, OK, Ardmore, and then Lone Grove but eventually made their home in Healdton to be closer to family. With Eva being the only girl in her family, she was excited to have her sisters-in-law whom she was very close with. Eva was amazing at canning food, especially what she gathered from the gardens her husband James had planted. James also preceded her in death on January 16, 2022. She loved to crochet, draw, color, do puzzles, can fresh foods, and cook. Most importantly, Eva loved keeping her family together in church and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always happy and loved by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, George and Mamie Staggs; husbands, J.C. Roberts, and later James Archer; brothers, Floyd Staggs, Earnest Staggs, and Ralph Staggs; grandson, Brody Archer; granddaughter, Brianna Studeman and a few other very special family members.

Survivors include her son, James Archer of Healdton; daughter, Shannon Studeman and husband Ricky of Lone Grove; son, David Archer of Flint, Michigan; adopted son, Jimmy Baldwin of Healdton; brother, Don Staggs and wife Laura of Wyndotte, Ok; brothers-in-law, John Archer and wife Melanie of Moore, Ok and Calvin Argo of Claremore, OK; sister-in-law, Gayla Archer of Alexander, Louisiana; grandchildren, James Archer and wife Raeann, Danny Archer and wife Ashley, Jamie Gaither, Rodney Gaither, Cris Byers, Lindsey Velasquez and husband Corey, Piper Archer, and Presley Archer; great grandchildren, Butter, Johnathon, Jaydan, Gracie, Aubrey, Fisher, Allie, Ethan, Coby, Skyler, Jaden, Genni, Jordan, and Jon; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Johnson, John Gaither, Butter Gaither, Ethan Byers, Coby Velasquez, Skyler Velasquez, and Fisher Archer.

Honorary bearers are all of her grandchildren.
