Wilson- Funeral services for E. Ray Baker 51, will be 10 am Saturday October 25, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Wilson with Rev. Sherry Kendrick officiating Burial will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Ray was born November 6, 1956 in Wilson, Oklahoma to Wesley Ambrose and Lois Scott Baker. He passed away Wednesday October 22, 2008 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Ray was born and raised in Wilson graduating from Wilson High School in 1975. After graduation Ray went to work for Blue Star Energy for 5 years. Ray was elected Chief of Police at Wilson serving one term of office, after which he began his employment with Hull’s Trucking Service working his way up to a Truck Pusher until his medical retirement in 2006. Ray and the former Cindy Littlefield were married in 1998 in Wilson, Oklahoma. Ray was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First United Methodist Church in Wilson.

Preceding him in death are his parents Wesley Ambrose and Lois Baker and a brother Houston Baker.

Survivors include his wife Cindy Baker of the home. Sons, Brian Baker and wife Leanne of Ardmore and Jason Baker of Wilson. 2 daughters Michelle Glenn, Daylene Watkins and husband Thomas all of Wilson. 2 brothers Gary Baker and wife Julia of Loco, Oklahoma and Wayne Baker and wife Carla of Orange, Texas. Sister Ann Loftin of Greenville, Texas, and 6 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Hull, David Hull, Brian Baker, Gary Claxton, Cal Stewart and Gary Don Sanders.

Honorary bearers will be Jerry Dodd, David Blackburn, Jason Baker, Donnie Nipp and employees of Cross Timbers Hospice.

Family visitation will be from 6-7 pm Friday at the funeral home in Wilson.
