Evaline Carroll-Wikle

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Evaline (Melton) Carroll-Wikle, 87, formerly of Graham scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Evaline was born on Dec. 21, 1929 at Clemscott to the late Mr. Houston Melton and Mrs. Eula (Arrington) Melton. She departed this life on Monday morning August 7, 2017 at the Wilson Nursing Home.

Evaline was raised at Clemscott attending school at Graham. She married Mr. Hyram Carroll as a young lady and they made their home initially at Graham. Later, they resided at Fox and Wirt. During these years, Evaline devoted most of her time to her family as a homemaker and housewife. They attended church at the Graham Assembly of God Church.

Hyram preceded her in death in 1979 and later in life she married Mr. Roy Wikle. Evaline worked at the Healdton Nursing home after her children were grown and later worked at the nursing home in Marietta as a CNA. She always enjoyed gardening and canning pickles. She made sure she attended Western Days every year where she enjoyed being with her family and friends. Evaline always cared deeply for all of her family and cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were an Infant daughter, Beverly; husband, Roy Wikle; daughter, LeeAnn Carroll; son, Glenn Carroll; granddaughter in law, Dondria Hickman; 2 great grandchildren, Bryce and Brooklyn Hickman and a brother, Robert Melton.

Survivors include a brother, Adrian "Tator" Melton of Ardmore; daughter in law, Donna Carroll of Ringling; grandchildren, Tisha Lester, Benjie Hickman, Amber Gicker and Travis Wikle; great grandchildren, Ryan, Lucas, Whitney, Jessica, Nash, Marcus, Kaylee, Baylee, Brooklyn, Kyle and Tyler; nieces and nephews, Jr. Melton, Randy Melton, Susan Melton, Janet Melton and Kenny Melton.

Casket Bearers will be Ryan Lester, Luke Lester, Travis Wikle, Jr. Melton, Caleb Gicker and Benjie Hickman.

Honorary Bearers are Marcus Denton, Nash Lester, Randy Melton and Kenny Melton.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wed. evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
