Eula Cleade Marrs

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Eula Cleade (Smith) Marrs, 88, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Harris and Rev. Dustin Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery of Healdton. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mrs. Eula Cleade (Smith) Marrs was born March 14, 1924 at Revena, TX to the late Mr. Oscar Thomas Smith and Mrs. Ruie Lou (Cockrill) Smith. She departed this life Thursday, February 21, 2013 at her home in Healdton.

Eula was raised as one of five girls at Tornillo, TX attending school at Fort Hancock. She graduated high school in 1942 and then moved to San Diego, CA where she worked at a Coffee Shop on a Military Base. She returned to Texas and soon after began raising her family. They resided at various communities from Texas to Oklahoma before settling at Healdton in 1968. Eula was a devoted homemaker. She loved reading Christian Love Stories and enjoyed watching the Waltons television episodes every evening. Eula also liked to take photographs and was a devoted Christian of the Assembly of God Church . She was presently attending the Wilson Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Son – Tommy August 12, 1991; 4 Sisters, Pat Upchurch, Virgie Smith, Mary Wafer and Texye Dunn.

Survivors include her Children, Margaret Marrs, Richard Marrs and wife Bonnie both of Healdton and Linda Robinson and husband Randall of Fox; 6 Grandchildren, Kelly, Lisa, Tom, Kasey, Randy and Tim; 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous other relatives, church family and friends.

Pallbearers are Kelly Farmer, Kasey Marrs, Randy Robinson, Tim Robinson, Tom Marrs, and Dennis Turpin.

Honorary Bearers are Wayne Dowdy, Joe Bartlett and all of the Members of the Wilson Assembly of God.

Family visitation will be from 4pm to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home In Wilson.
