Fox - Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Catherine (Shirley) Gordon, 80, of Fox are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Fox Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery of Ardmore. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Catherine was born on Sept. 22, 1937 at St. Louis, OK to the late Mr. Charley Cleveland "C.C." Shirley and Mrs. Loretta Verlene (Sartors) Shirley. She departed this life on Monday morning August 20, 2018 at her home south of Fox.

Catherine moved to Fox from Wilson when she was in the fifth grade. She was the drum major during her high school years graduating from Fox High School in 1955. Shortly afterwards she married Mr. Kenneth Gordon on September 2, 1955 at the Fox Baptist Church. They moved quite frequently following Kenneth's employment within the Oilfield and were amazingly blessed with three wonderful children, Kenna Renee', Kathy Ronnell and Todd Charles. Catherine was quite the housewife always spending most of her time in the kitchen cooking for her family. Not only was she an astonishing cook but she was a very accomplished seamstress who took a great pride in designing and sewing most of her families clothing. Throughout their years of different residencies from Oklahoma to North Dakota, Texas and then back to Oklahoma, they finally settled back in Fox in 1992. They built their home on Kenneth's family farm where they have resided since enjoying their retirement together. Catherine will be remembered for being the most loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and was an excellent seamstress who loved to quilt and provide for her family. She was a longtime member of the Fox Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her Parents, C.C. and Loretta Shirley; brother, Eugene Shirley; sister, Barbara Shirley Carroll; brother in law, Howard Dillon Carroll; nephew, Dustin Tra Moore and niece Stephanie (Shirley) Zellers.

Survivors include her loving husband Mr. Tommy Kenneth Gordon of the home; daughters, Kenna Renee (Gordon) Larkins and husband Clyde of Story, WY and Kathy Ronnell (Gordon) Morrison and husband Thomas of Humble, TX; son, Todd Charles Gordon and husband Scott Fearing of Rochester, NY; granddaughters, Pamela Ann (Morrison) Widmier and husband Todd, Calie Renee' (Larkins) LeDuc and husband Jordan and Kayla Marie Morrison ; great granddaughter McKenzie Catherine Widmier; sisters, Joyce Fore and husband Larry of Fox and Jaquita Moore and husband Larry of Purcell;sister in law, Mamon Shirley of Edmond; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers will be Bob McCartney, Charles Wright, Don Henderson, Jerry Wayne Gordon, Larry Gene Fore, Darrin Moore, Carl Taylor and Scott Fearing.

Honorary Bearers will be the Staff of the Aspire Hospice .
