Emily Dawn Rousey

Lone Grove - Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Emily Dawn (Edwards) Rousey, 43, of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday Nov. 29, 2016 at the WOW Church, 100 N. Washington Ardmore, OK with Pastor Jim Yeager officiating and assisting will be Bro. Roy Fountain. Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.

Emily was born on January 27, 1973 at Norman to Mr. Kenneth Dale Edwards and Mrs. Jo Retta (Williams) Edwards. She went to be with her Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of Friday Nov. 25, 2016.

Emily was raised near Chickasha. She was an accomplished Softball Athlete, graduating high school in 1991. She then attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma. Emily moved to this area becoming employed with the Noble Foundation in 2006 as an Administrative Assistant. There she was employed for the last 11 years.

Emily met and soon married Mr. Tim Rousey on November 23, 2008 at the Arbuckle Lake. They shared many happy memories together, always enjoying the outdoors. Tim and her often visited the Honey Creek Cabins near Davis where they enjoyed spending time together.

Emily loved her canine companion "Annie" and always loved being outdoors. She will be remembered most as being a great prayer warrior. She touched many people with her kind and gentle spirit, being able to feel and love others unconditionally.

Preceding her in death are her Grandparents; Evert and Patsy Williams and Olvis and Donelda Edwards.

Survivors include her husband, Tim, and their favorite canine companion, Annie of the home; her parents, Kenneth and Jo Retta Edwards of Enid; sister, Laura Loyde and husband Mike and their children, Madison and Hunter, all of Rogers, AR; parents in law, Sterlin and Retha Rousey of Lone Grove; special sister in law, Kerri Rousey of Lone Grove, and her children, Kody, Kaleb and Marcus, all of Lone Grove; brothers in law, Mark Rousey of Bell Buckle, TN and Greg and Carolyn Rousey and their children Zach and Daphne all of Alaska; numerous other family, church family and friends.
