Emilia Dolores Rogers

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mrs. Emilia Dolores (Chavarria) Rogers, 68 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 1, 2021 at the First Baptist Church with David Newby officiating. Interment will follow to Bomar Point Cemetery. We respectfully ask those in attendance to please wear a mask. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Emilia was born September 13, 1952 in Wilson, TX to the late Mr. Juan Chavarria and Mrs. Teresa (Luna) Chavarria. She departed from this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Oklahoma City.

Emilia was raised in Texas attending school until the 7th grade. She started helping her father work in the fields. Emilia married Lupe Rogers in September of 1976 at Rotan, TX. They lived in Texas while Lupe worked in the oilfield and construction while Emilia was a devoted stay at home mother. They moved to this area in 1990 making their home in Wilson. Emilia enjoyed cooking, flowers, singing and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; all her sisters and a brother.

Emilia is survived by her husband, Lupe of the home; her oldest daughter and her family; daughters, Lisa Rogers of Wilson, Jacqueline Boring and husband Ray of Lone Grove, and Catherine McDonald of Springer; son, Johnny Rogers and wife Gloria of Lubbock, TX; many many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and by a host of other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny McDonald, Clay McDonald, Claude McDonald, Johnny Rogers, Haden Goode, and Jammy Shaw.
