Edith "Charlene" (Dickinson) Sullivan, of Healdton, departed this life on Monday, May 24, 2021 at her residence at the age of 84 years, 3 months, and 26 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00P.M. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Rexroat Baptist with Bro. Edward Wise officiating. Interment will follow in the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
Charlene was born to the late Mr. Rossie Lindsey Dickinson and Mrs. Mattie Thomas Baker Dickinson in Graham, OK on January 29, 1937.
She was raised in Southern Oklahoma growing up in Wilson and graduating from Greenville High School with the class of 1956. After graduation she married Mr. Leslie Sullivan the father of her three children. Charlene took great pride in being a homemaker and loving mother. The best part of her life was her grandchildren and she was always the best MeMaw in the world. Charlene enjoyed coloring, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She was baptized as child at The Missionary Baptist Church in Healdton and later attended Community Fellowship Church for several years.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; son, Leslie Archie Sullivan. Jr.; brother, Harold Lindsey Dickinson; three sisters, Inez Amant, Wanda Jo Chatham, and Helen Faye Hodges; and a grandson Ronnie James Peters.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Jean Peters of Healdton; Brenda Faye McKee and her husband Raymond of Healdton; grandchildren, Michael Peters and wife Amber of Healdton, Billy Sullivan and Cheyenna of Ringling; Anita Jones and her husband Chad of Wilson; Raymond McKee of Healdton; four great grandchildren, R.J., Brenley, Ruger, Ryder, Kylie and Landon; one brother, Gary Lee Dickinson and his wife Dorothy of Ft. Smith, AR; Many other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Hodges, Raymond McKee, Billy Sullivan, Jimmy Chatham, Michael Peters, and Bill Chatham.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Peters, Chad Jones, Allen McKee, Brenley Sullivan, Ruger Jones, and Ryder Jones.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
